2007 DONNAFUGATA "ANTHILIA" SICILIA BIANCO  OUR PRICE $14.99
SICILIAN WHITE...Blend of 50% Ansonica, 50% Catarratto.  Crisp white wine with hints of peach and floral notes.  The label displays the face of a woman, mysterious and fleeting, like the Elymian civilization. Anthilia is the name, given in the Roman period, to the city of Entella on the crest of the Rocca. Anthilia is also the name of a wine that is identified with the ancient territory where it originates. It is the first wine to have been conceived at Donnafugata and it remains today a special favorite of many admirers. Serve with lightly smoked fish, crustaceans, anchovies and introductory dishes. Excellent with tuna salad, eggplant rolls and stuffed mussels.

2007 SALVIANO ORVIETO CLASSICO SUPERIORE  OUR PRICE $15.99
UMBRIAN WHITE...30% Trebbiano Toscano, 30% Grechetto, 20% Chardonnay, 20% Sauvignon Blanc
This Classic Orvieto from Umbria is sourced from 10 year old hillside vines that rise 350–500m above the northern banks of Lake Corbara and the Tiber River. Exposure varies from the south-west, south and south-east. The soil is rich in red clay, tufa (limestone common to central Italy) and small pebbles. Each variety is harvested and vinified separately. The chilled must is fermented in temperature controlled steel tanks and then rests in cement vats until bottling. The wine’s elegant aromas of ripe fruit introduce a well-structured, refreshing and beautifully balanced wine.

2006 DONNAFUGATA "SEDARA" NERO D'AVOLA SICILIA  OUR PRICE $15.99
SICILIAN RED...Made from 100% Nero D'Avola grapes. The ruby-red color is rounded out by lively garnet reflections. The impact on the nose is intense with sensations of tobacco, spices and mineral notes. In the mouth, the wine is balanced with fruity flavors, mainly blackberries and cherries. Persistent finish. Combine with introductory dishes with meat sauces, elaborate baked pasta dishes and red meats. Try the wine with lightly cooked fresh tuna.

2006 BADIA A COLTIBUONO "CANCELLI" TOSCANA ROSSO  OUR PRICE $10.99
TUSCAN RED...Cancelli IGT is made from a blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Syrah . Very pleasing when young, it has great potential for improvement with cellaring. This blend of grape varieties was specifically developed to obtain a quality wine suitable for everyday use. The grape selection takes place in vineyards that are most suited to the production of young wines. "The 2006 Cancelli is a plump, juicy red with attractive, perfumed fruit perfect for casual drinking. These value-priced negociant bottlings from Coltibuono offer excellent value."  - Wine Advocate

2005 MASI “CAMPOFIORIN” RIPASSO VERONESE  OUR PRICE $15.99
POPULAR RED FROM VERONA...Blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara.  Deep ruby color, very clean, ripe fruit, and spicy aromas.  Good acidity and soft tannins makes this wine easy to drink.  Pair with roasted meats, game or pasta with mushroom sauce.  Campofiorin is the original product of the personal interpretation by Masi's technicians of an ancient vinification system used in Verona and technically known as "refermentation". Masi is proud to have created a completely new category in the ranks of Veronese winemaking, a class of wines that stands between the elegant simplicity of the classic wine types and the complex majesty of the Amarone, a benchmark category for other wines.
