Gerald and Philibert Talmard are a father son team carrying on a four century family tradition of grape growing in the French village of Chardonnay, believed to have given the grape its name.
“Yellow-gold. Ripe peach and nectarine on the nose, with floral honey and toasted grain nuances adding complexity. Fleshy pit fruit and melon flavors are soft and inviting; seductively creamy in texture, with a hint of sweet butter and very good persistence.” - Stephen Tanzer
2008 CHATEAU DU CHATELARD "VIEILLES VIGNES" BEAUJOLAIS BLANC OUR PRICE $15.99
This Beaujolais Blanc comes from one of the most beautiful ‘terroirs’, which perfectly complements the requirements of the Chardonnay grape variety; this has been recognized by the best wine tasters in France. Its delicate aromas combined with a vinous, rich and rounded taste confirms its reputation. Naturally the grapes are hand picked and this wine expresses the care and passion of the estate. A nose with fresh fruits flavor (melon, pear) well blended with citrus fruits colors (lemon). Soft and charming in the mouth, with fullness and rich finish with a great style.
2007 ROLAND LAVANTUREUX PETIT CHABLIS OUR PRICE $18.99
A wonderful Chardonnay from Chablis. Pale with hints of yellow, this wine has a nose of lemon, slate, and limestone, with hints of green apple, that's quite forward. On the palate, it's dry and delivers flavors of tart green apple with lemony acidity.

2008 DOMAINE MANCIAT-PONCET MACON-CHARNAY OUR PRICE $17.99
A perennial favorite from this fine producer, this wine is fermented and aged 100% in stainless steel tanks to preserve all of the zesty fruit and mineral qualities that fine Mâcon should exhibit. The chardonnay fruit for this wine comes from the Manciats' middle-aged vineyards in and around the village of Charnay. 100% hand-harvested grapes (a rarity in the region) and attention to detail at every level make this one of the purist, most satisfying white burgundies in its class. The nose is of ripe green apples with just a hint of citrus. Not muddled by oak that would overpower the delicate fruit, it shows crisp acidity and good mineral punch in the middle while finishing plump and long. A great value in chardonnay!
