2009 ATASCADERO CREEK RUSSIAN RIVER VALLEY RITCHIE VINEYARDS SAUVIGNON BLANC OUR PRICE $17.99
This is one of the nicest domestic Sauvignon Blancs we have tasted. Wonderful citrus (grapefruit, lime) and kiwi notes abound. These are followed by tropical fruit flavors, balanced acidity and crisp, clean finish. This is a very limited production wine, so if you like it, don’t wait too long! A great aperitif, this Sauvignon Blanc will go with salads, grilled fish and even some spicy Asian or Indian food. VERY LIMITED PRODUCTION.
2008 VOSS VINEYARDS NAPA VALLEY SAUVIGNON BLANC OUR PRICE $20.99
The 2008 Sauvignon Blanc displays classic varietal aromas, flavor and texture. Aromas of lemon peel, grapefruit and pineapple combine with a hint of spice and mineral, leading to a delightful combination of intense and exotic fruit flavors across the palate. The wine shows a lovely fullness in the palate from the skin contact before pressing and the lingering finish is bright and crisp.
2008 FORTRESS VINEYARDS LAKE COUNTY RED HILLS SAUVIGNON BLANC OUR PRICE $14.99
This handcrafted single vineyard wine is made from 100% Sauvignon Musque grown using sustainable practices at 2,400ft. in the Red Hills Lake County AVA. The red volcanic soils of this mountain site, in tandem with the cooling lake influences below, are perfectly suited to the production of traditional Bordeaux varietals, including Sauvignon Blanc. Crisp and clean, this wine offers up notes of kiwi, honeydew melon and ocean brine. Drink either as an aperitif or pair with shellfish, seafood, poultry, pasta, or mildly spicy and fusion fare.

2008 BEL ECHO MARLBOURGH NEW ZEALAND SAUVIGNON BLANC OUR PRICE $15.99
Crafted by Clos Henri of France who has many years of experience with the Sauvignon Blanc grape.
The wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks to retain fruit elegance and flavor; it is then aged on fine lees for six months. Reveals expressive aromas of tropical fruits, a slight minerality, and to get a round mouthfeel, while keeping a natural weight on the palate obtained from the clay.

2009 GROOM ADELAIDE HILLS AUSTRALIA SAUVIGNON BLANC OUR PRICE $17.99
This is a wonderful wine made by one of the nicest people in the wine industry, Daryl Groom. This Australian has been making great wine both in the United States and his home Australia for many years. This Sauvignon Blanc is yet another wonderful wine. This is a favorite of Traverso’s and others who have had the chance to try it.
Daryls’s Notes: “This wine is made with no oak and no MLF allowing the zesty varietal characters of the grape to be expressed. The nose is a myriad of fresh ripe tropical fruit aromas which are vibrant, but not overpowering. The palate is fresh and retains medium to high natural mouth watering acidity. This wine is great drinking with seafood, salads, sushi and Asian cuisine.”
