Easter is Sunday which means the Easter Bunny is coming!  He's arriving a day early in our store as our very own "Easter Bunny" Bill Traverso will be here to pour some food-friendly Easter Wine favorites.  These wines will be perfect for hunting eggs in the morning with Prosecco to French reds that pair perfectly with Spring lamb and ham dishes.  Bill won't have his bunny outfit on this Saturday, but he will have maps and details on all of these wonderful wines.

2008 COL DE SALICI PROSECCO DI VALDOBBIADENE VENDEMMIA EXTRA DRY  OUR PRICE $16.99
Exclusively produced with Prosecco grapes selected from the best vineyards in the viticultural area with Controlled Denomination of Origin. The processes of vinification and second fermentation are supervised with special care in order to intensify the wine perfumes. The result is a fragrant and elegant wine with a fine mousse and bouquet.

2009 DOMAINE DE BEAUPRE COTEAUX D'AIX-EN-PROVENCE DRY ROSE  OUR PRICE $16.99
First 2009 Dry Rose in our store from Europe.  Blend of 40% Carignan, 30% Cinsault, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.  This dry rose is crisp and refreshing.  Made only 12 km from the famous town of Aix-en-Provence.  The Baron Emile Double founded the vineyard in 1890 and his family still runs the estate to this day.  Beaupre is the official purveyor to the French Government's Elysee Palace.  This is the rose that Nicolas Sarkozy and wife Carla Bruni drink throughout the summer.

2008 LA BELLE FILLE WINE COMPANY "IRMA LA TAGE" CALIFORNIA WHITE WINE  OUR PRICE $10.99
White Rhone-style blend of 55% Viognier, 45% Chardonnay/Chenin Blanc.  Very clean fruit-forward aromas of stone fruit.  The Viognier dominates the early flavors on the palate with bright juicy fruit, and the Chardonnay carries the mid palate and the clean, crisp finish.  A ménage of the superb wines of Northern California, influenced by the great Northern Rhone wine region Hermitage, the classic early 20th century impressionistic nudes by Amedeo Modigliani, and the award-winning vintage Hollywood film “Irma la Duce…”

Bordeaux blend of 60% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon.  The wine buddies par excellence, a soft merlot, aromas of black fruits. 100% Stainless steel, No Oak. A very bright wine with great fruit and super soft tannins.

Hand-harvested blend of 50% Grenache, 30% Carigane, and 20% Syrah.  "Mas des Dames" or "Farm of the Ladies" is hidden in the hills behind the ancient Mediterranean city of Beziers.  Celebrated for three generations of beautiful daughters, the Mas has 32 acres of old vines parceled into small plots.  This is a delicious, supple southern French wine with alluring scents of wild herbs.
