TRAVERSO'S TOUR DE FRANCE WINE TASTING IN-STORE NOON TO 3PM THIS SATURDAY, JULY 24

BARON DE SEILLAC BLANC DE BLANCS BRUT SPARKLING WINE OUR PRICE $10.99
From Provence...Blend of 80 % Ugni-Blanc, 20% Colombard. Very pale yellow color with green glints; complex nose with delicious bouquets of citrus fruits (lemon and grapefruit), of fruits (peaches) and, small white flowers. In mouth, straight attack and a lot of freshness; a very harmonious wine with good persistence.
2008 DOMAINE SAN DE GUILHEM COTES DE GASCOGNE BLANC OUR PRICE $9.99
From Southwest France, Gascogne...Blend of 40% Colombard, 30% Gros Manseng, 30% Ugni Blanc. A zesty and lively white wine with a nose of white fruits and a clean, crisp finish. The assemblage is mostly Colombard with Gros Manseng and a little Ugni Blanc added for freshness and delicacy.
2008 DOMAINE DE FONTSAINTE GRIS DE GRIS CORBIERES DRY ROSE OUR PRICE $12.95
From Corbieres, Languedoc...Blend of 60% Grenache Gris and Grenache Noir; 5% Syrah; 10% Mourvèdre; 15% Carignan; 10% Cinsault. This wine immediately gives off notes of raspberry, cherry and freshly picked strawberries - followed by exotic aromas such as pineapple and mango. Stunningly balanced, this is an extremely appetent wine! Ideal as an aperitif, but wonderful with food.
2009 KERMIT LYNCH VIN DE PAYS DU VAUCLUSE ROUGE OUR PRICE $9.95
From Vaucluse, Rhone...The Vin de Pay de Vaucluse Rouge is made by Beaumes de Venise producer, Domaine de Durban. Durban makes a beautiful AOC rouge and a well known Muscat. This 2009 Vaucluse Rouge has something most 10 dollar wines don’t have – structure! Firm but not overpowering tannins with dark reglisse, fruit, and some beautiful black pepper spice, which also sounds a lot like Gigondas.
2007 PERRIN RESERVE COTES DU RHONE ROUGE OUR PRICE $10.99
From the Rhone...Rich, full-bodied blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre, 10% Cinsault. A beautiful deep red hue that seems almost opaque. The nose shows caramel and spices that mingle with red berry fruit. The palate is full and deep, with fine tannins and good length.

From Bordeaux...Blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cab Franc, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. "Fresh and clean, with currant and berry character. Medium-bodied. Best from 2010 through 2014." - Wine Spectator
